| The GT community has been eagerly awaiting news of the next significant update following last month’s announcement hinting at new content and features for us this fall. According to a very rare English-language tweet from Kazunori Yamauchi this morning, that new content and features will be a “Spec 2.0″ update to the game in October and downloadable content shortly after:
"GT fans, thanks for waiting… The GT5 Spec 2.0 update is coming the 3rd week of October, with DLC following a week later."
There is no news yet for fans regarding exactly what the Spec 2.0 update will bring nor the nature of – or the price of – the DLC to follow, but GTPlanet will report this information when it is revealed…

| Haha, I was going to post this. You beat meh The DLC better not be expensive... I used almost all of my PSN card on DiRT 3 DLC's, a couple of TDU2 ones.... and a London Pub on PS Home. I have no idea why I bought a pub. Cost me nearly £5. What was I thinking? | |

| Yeah it's the whole deal going around on GTPlanet now.
I hope the DLC is free. But if it was free I imagine it'd be part of the update. I'm not paying for some that should have been there at launch.

| If Kazza has added the Mondeo.... I will explode with excitment.
Then obviously gather my pieces, glue myself back together and use the Mondeo in the game... and buy many, many Mondeos.

| The "Spec 2.0" update I suspect will involve some standard cars getting converted into premium. The DLC will obviously be an add-on of cars that aren't already in the game, I can't wait until it's content is fully revealed. | |

Actually, Kazunori admitted there is too many skylines in GT5, correct me if i'm wrong. So, I think he'll avoid skylines unless theres a new skyline out like a "Nur" edition.

| It looks as though they've rushed the cockpit on standard cars, if they've done them all or most I don't blame them, other than that, there's new RM car models, additional options and new nascar's. | |

| all standard cars have a standard cockpit now. some look ok but don't expect too much. STANDARD being the operative word here. Weathers changeable, endurance saves, multiple set-ups for each car. 2011 liveried NASCARS (these r the same cars we got btw, not remodelled to look like the real 2011 Nascars), Kaz's shulze R35 24hrs Ring racer, Forward and rewind in replays. Some of the features included and btw its free.
DLC's by the sounds of it will probably cost money. but imo thats ok considering the 13 updates, updated seasonal events, OCD, continued development over the past year. compared to lets say TDU2 which has released how much in 8 months? There are 3 DLC packs Car pack, track pack and race gear pack. With the tracks i'm expecting tracks previously seen in the GT series. So hopefully Seattle, Infineon, Red rock valley, twin ring motegi, el' capitan and maybe pikes peak to name a few are included.
Spec 2's available 11th october, DLC as yet unconfirmed.

| I think the standard cars just get a black interior, but it's better than nothing. But you know what makes me really mad? We leave on the 11th to spend the night at my grandparent's, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE INTERNET. So now I gotta wait an extra day -_- | |

| well if u look on gt planet. theres three pics of cockpit view. Ones in the courage peugeot lmp1, caterham 7 fireblade and 1 unknown. The courage and caterham have dials and don't jus have black dashboards. the unknown car is jus black. maybe shadows? interiors are pretty dark. other pics include a nascar pic. silver redbull camry and best buy fusion main changes i saw. | |

| Yeah, I'm sure all open-top LMP's will have a somewhat detailed interior. | |

| It's not an open-top LMP, so don't get your hopes up. | |

| all cars have interiors now dr. some will be better than others. i've not seen a courage peugeot in the flesh. but going by the caterhams its relatively close to the real one's. btw did i send u the pic of the gt-ones interior? i'm not expecting PD to have added all of the buttons etc the gt-one's got. The unknown car interiors the worrying one. The dials look as tho there in the wrong place and way to big. there is a hint of a steering wheel at the bottom of the pic and some gloves. both dials together are as big as the wheel. But without knowing the car its hard to say wether its supposed to be like that. But with on going development hopefully they'll get better later.
Another thing. did GT on the PSP have interiors?

Yeah. Well, old Camaro does anyway. Haven't got any other cars to test. Apart from a Honda Jazz... don't want to drive that though.

| Yeah, roughly the same. However the 'mystery' car is a lot poorer than PSP interior. You can actually see stuff inside the car on the PSP. | |
